A North Carolina Lake Town Is One of America’s Hottest Luxury Housing Markets, Thanks to Nascar – The Wall Street Journal

The median sale price for a home in Cornelius, N.C., has gone up by about 114% since 2012, according to data from Realtor.com, while the median sale price for a home in Mooresville has increased by about 118%, to $428,000 from $196,000. Both towns are located on the east side of the lake, where much of the luxury real estate is.
