Estate in Ireland on the market for €3.7 million

A PROPERTY of 251 acres is on the Limerick market for €3.7 million.

Knocktoran Stud in Elton, County Limerick has four residential properties attached to its estate.

Since 1987, Knocktoran Stud has been in the hands of the current owners. The estate is reputable within the bloodstock industry and has been home to many group winners and racehorses.

The current owners have also kept bloodstock for GA Oldham of Citadel Stud.

The main house has kept many of its period features and is surrounded by woodlands and gardens, while overlooking the Slievereagh Mountains.

Knocktoran Stud also has a main yard, which comprises 32 loose boxes including two stallion boxes, six foaling boxes, veterinary stocks, tack room and setting up room.

Located in County Limerick, the property is accessible via both the M7 and the M8 and about an hour away from both Shannon and Cork airports.

The property is being sold by public auction on September 28, at 3pm in the Castletroy Park Hotel and is being offered in four lots.

Will Coonan of Coonan Property commented: “The current owners purchased this farm in 1987 because the quality of the lands in this area are renowned for its suitability for the production of bloodstock and livestock.  This phenomenal property coming up for sale presents a fantastic opportunity to acquire one of Limericks hidden gems and a stud farm renowned for producing bold type bloodstock.”
